In-House and External Training
GRC are committed to the development and delivery of bespoke in-house and external training.
The level of awareness of green roof issues by practitioners and their implementation in developments is steadily increasing. Practical experience has led to a re-definition of best practice and greater understanding of basic principles. It is important that practitioners not only have access to the best possible information, but also have the confidence to implement guidance and use green roofs successfully within developments.

Our bespoke training packages will build on the current guidance and facilitate an improved understanding of green roofs for the following:
- Local Authorities
- Architects
- Engineers
- Planners
- Developers
- Facility Managers
The training packages are tailored to suit all levels of knowledge from less experienced professionals relatively new to green roofs through to professionals who have extensive knowledge and experience of the concept. The workshop based modules will typically be limited to around 30 people per module to ensure optimum levels of interaction and knowledge transfer.
Modules will be based upon practical experience and build on the information presented in currently available and forthcoming guidance (CIRIA RP714 ‘Building Greener’) and will cover strategic as well as practical issues of implementing green roofs in the built environment.
The modules will be delivered by a team of internationally recognised practitioners who have practical experience of implementing green roofs into a variety of developments.
Module content will be interactive using a variety of learning styles to engage and inspire participants and the modules will include a number of demonstrative group exercises and case studies. The use of design examples will be central to all training modules.
